The Artist Almanac Group LLC is an e-publishing company founded by a group of art historians, art publishers, and art consultants who are devoted to telling the most compelling true stories about artists’ lives and works. Recognizing diverse tastes, we’ve plumbed artistic styles from the Renaissance to the modern era. We’ve also found truth in the motto that “Artists are people, too” with all the frailties and peccadilloes of the rest of humanity. This is not your dry art reference ebook. To be sure, while we have strived to uphold high scholarly standards this book is foremost about the enjoyment that comes with the discovery of little known facts. It’s the kind of book that the television game show, Jeopardy! would do well to plumb while creating some of the answers for their art history categories.
